∙ 13y agoThe English King Harold lost in The Battle of Hastings for many reasons. The main reason was that he had only just won a battle at Stamford Bridge (No! Not Chelsea's football ground, but instead in North England) against another Harold, this time from Scandinavia. This was an incredibly big factor because not only was his army in a mess after the battle, but he was also forced to go all the way back down to the South of England in order to fight William of Normandy.
However, there were several other factors too, including the fact that Harold had no cavelry, there were several omens which Harold's army took as bad and William's took as good, and the fact that the men's morale was very low because they had already done their yearly service for the army.
