you should not put them together. The male hamsters don't get well with other hamsters

-------------------------

Actually, I think it's the female who usually fights the male, but the previous answer was right, don't put them both in the females cage! If you want to breed them, put the female (if she's never been in the other cage) in the males, it's a *neautral* environment for her, and she probably wont try and make it her territory.

Or even better, put them both on the floor (in a closed room, with no dangers, and watch them closely! They move fast!).

If the female accepts the male, she'll go stiff, and the male will go to her, but if they fight, separate them and wait a few days, try again, and if they fight again, they wont get along.

Experiance- owned two females and a male previously--male went crazy trying to get into females' cage when she was on heat! XD

After the female becomes pregnant, she will become very aggressive toward the male. At that point you should separate them. If you do not, the male is going to be severely abused by the female.

Hamsters are territorial and sometimes if they get scents of each other they start to fight.Sometimes if your trying to mate your hamsters and they fight chances are they need a different mate or they just don't want to be mated.

That's not necessarily true. Hamsters are solitary, and will fight other hamsters. Two females will fight, two males will fight. For a male and a female, the male is typically more receptive towards the female, but the female will only accept the male if she is in heat and ready to mate.

If the hamster is showing aggression towards people, then it hasn't been tamed properly.
She's probably pregnant.

Hamsters are territorial creatures. If two hamsters are fighting then they need to be separted before they cause any harm to each other.

Can a boy dwarf hamster live in a cage with another dwarf hamster?

Unless the dwarf hamster was in the same litter, I would advise against it. If they are not in the same litter, and you'd like to see if they get along, first put them in a neutral cage. Otherwise the hamster may feel that another male is trying to take over its territory.

Will your girl hamster fight if you put a boy hamster in the same cage?

Yes, if they are mature, they will fight to the death. However, they can live with each other when they are still babies. {This is why it is hard to breed hamsters.}

What will happen if the boy hamster is not taken out of the cage when the girl hamster is pregnant?

They will probably fight. However, a dwarf hamster male can stay in the cage with the female. He can help raise the babies.

How do hamsters show they're jealous of another hamster?

Hamsters usually show that they are jealous of another hamster by being aggressive to the hamster in question. Example, scratching, biting, hissing, snapping, or taking possessions away. Why do hamsters become jealous? Well, they are like children, in a way. If you spoil one hamster, acquire another, and then completely forget about your previous spoiled hamster, it's bound to become jealous of the new "guy\girl in town." Usually it's not a good idea at all to bring a male and a male hamster, a girl and a girl hamster, or a boy and a girl hamster unless (in the case of a boy and a girl) you wish them to mate. Males are territorial while females are also so. Boy and girl hamsters will fight, even if confronted with perfect mating conditions. Just remember that it's all based on the hamster's personality and breed. Other than that, you'll do just fine. :)
