My '96 Mercedes C220 has a constant beep in the dashboard and there is no lights that indicate a problem Anyone got an answer for this???
To reset the light, turn your ignition to on, then press the gas pedal 3 times, then start the car. To reset the light, turn your ignition to on, then press the gas pedal 4 times then you will hear a beep, then start the car.
put the red coded key in the ignition turn it to position 2 quickly 3 times listen for a beep once the beep has sounded leave it in the ignition press one of the buttons on the key in the ignition the the same button on the new key fob that will program the new fob signals to the origanl.
You have an immobilizer problem. Try another key.
Turn the car off... Then turn the keys in the ignition until all the dash lights light up... Then turn you headlights on and off maually three times... You should hear a beep. that means you have disabled the sensor! :) Hope that helps... repeat the process to turn it back on! :)
Turn ignition on... depress gas pedal to floor three times in ten seconds. Turn ignition off then on. Knock on windshield four times and turn ignition off again.
The beeping is just telling you that the machine is turning off.
Insert your key in the ignition. Turn it to accessories. Press your remote lock button until you hear a beep. Now it's configured!

Key off.....Turn key to ignition WHILST holding the up & down buttons on the speed alert. The indicator will beep & "service confirmation?" will be displayed on the screen...pause for 3 seconds then press & hold the "set" button. The indicator will again beep & "no items" will be displayed
Firstly, turn the ignition on but don't start the engine, then turn the headlights on, then off, then turn them back on, then off again. (so twice on, twice off) the car should beep at you twice indicating this function has been switched on. To switch off, repeat the same steps above and the car will only beep once.
1. Turn ignition switch to position I. 2. Press and hold "day counter reset button". 3. Turn ignition to position II. 4. Continue holding day counter for about 10 seconds. 5. While SRL flashes, release day counter button. 6. Should hear "beep-beep" to confirm command accepted.
