Santa lives at the North Pole, where there is a lot of snow and ice. He uses a sleigh because it gets around on snow and ice. Ah, but that's not all! He also has it because it can be pulled by the reindeer through the air, so Santa can get the presents delivered without getting in traffic jams, lugging presents from vehicles to boats, etc. If it wasn't for the sleigh, Santa would never be able to get presents delivered to everyone. Oh, and on Christmas Eve, Santa has priority in the air.!

Let us examine the CLAUSISM MYTHOLOGY. First off, in the originall poem- the Night Before Christmas- by Clement Moore- only eight reindeer are mentioned. it is strongly implied in the poem ( but generally un-developed in Cartoons and the like) that rather like DC Comics ( The Atom) the reindeer have the power of altering their size ( along with Nick) so they can get down the chimneys, and this is also a borderline invisibility power- for some reason not played up by modern Clausist pushers- it is pushing things too far. Rudolph, the Red -Nosed Reindeer was the creation of an ad copyrignter for Montgomery Wards- ( rival Sears Roebuck used specialized Dennis the Menace cartoons much later) as an ad gimmick to get kids to turn the toy pages! nothing wrong with that- but Rudolf ( the name MAY me derived from Rudolph Wurlitzer, the organ manufacturer, oddly- no other holiday has such a music library!- well was developed into a full-blown legend and the song was written by one Johnny Marks- not spelling, the rest is - well Mythological history.
