He reasons that if she has enough courage to kill herself she has enough courage to take the drug which will make her appear dead for 42 hours. The Friar then proceeds to formulate all the details of his plan, and Juliet agrees to it.
Scene Plan here:

Because all she wanted to do was die, and if Juliet follows Friar Laurence's plan, then she can "die" but still be able to live with Romeo in some other city and neither of them would be bothered by the Montague vs Capulet crap anymore.
He believes that she will go for his plan because she was desperate for anything, a way to get out of marrying Paris, and especially to see Romeo, which was a part of friar laurence's plan. The only solution she could think of was suicide.
Because her other alternative is suicide, and at least his plan holds out some hope that she and Romeo will be reunited.
Because he doesn't really agree with it
And also that fate got there first :-(
xx
He does think she will accept it.
It's better than dying, isn't it?
At various times, Benvolio, Mercutio, the Nurse, Friar Lawrence, Romeo's father, Friar Lawrence's friend Friar John and Romeo's servant Balthazar all try to do things which they think will help Romeo. And Juliet too, of course.

It explains how, later on in the play, the Friar is able to produce a potion which will make a person look dead for 42 hours exactly.
I think you must be asking about Act II Scene 3. Romeo wants the Friar to perform the marriage between him and Juliet. The friar is at first reluctant because just yesterday Romeo was getting all weepy about being in love with Rosaline. But after thinking about it, the friar thinks that a marriage of this kind might help end the feud between the Capulets and Montagues so he agrees.
Juliet I think both. Romeo is in a hurry to get married to Juliet and asks Friar Laurence to marry them shortly after they've met. Juliet, shows she's impatient when she is waiting for the Nurse to come back and give her news about the plans to get married to Romeo
There was a hope of her ending up successfully rejoined with Romeo, in contrast to her own plan, which was suicide.
Friar Laurence compares medicine to poison in his soliloquy, acknowledging that just as medicine can heal or harm depending on how it is used, his well-intentioned plan to unite Romeo and Juliet has the potential to bring both joy and sorrow to their lives.

Friar Laurence agrees to marry Romeo and Juliet in hopes that the marriage will help bring peace between their feuding families, the Montagues and Capulets. He sees it as a way to reconcile the two families and end the ongoing conflict.

Friar Laurence is knowledgeable about herbs and their medicinal properties, which allows him to provide practical solutions to the challenges faced by Romeo and Juliet. He is also a compassionate and caring individual who genuinely wants to help the young lovers find happiness. Additionally, he is resourceful and able to think on his feet to come up with a plan to assist Romeo and Juliet in difficult situations.
He thinks he got off lucky.
Friar Laurence doesn't tell Paris about Juliet and Romeo's marriage because he wants to protect their secret union and prevent further complications or conflict. He may believe that revealing this information could lead to more repercussions and jeopardize their chances of being together. Additionally, the Friar may feel responsible for their marriage and wants to find a way to resolve the situation without causing harm to anyone involved.
