Because of a basic law which states that matter is attracted to matter, the gravitational pull of a body is directly proportional to its mass. Thus, Jupiter, having a larger mass than the moon, has a greater gravitational force.

There is actually more gravity on Jupiter then on earth. Smaller planets have less gravitational pull and larger planets have more gravitional pull. basically, the more mass a planet has, the more gravitational pull it has. some say that the rotation of the planet around the sun as well as hoe fast the planet rotates also has a effect on gravitational pull. the only possible way for you to be able to walk on Jupiter is to be light as a feather.

Jupiter's gravity is stronger because it has a larger mass than Earth ... about

318 times as much.

The size of the planet's radius is also involved ... how far you are from the center

when you stand on its surface. Jupiter is larger than Earth in that department too ...

roughly 11 times as large. That dimension reduces the acceleration due to gravity

on the surface. But Jupiter's mass is so much larger than Earth's that the mass wins

out. The acceleration of gravity on Jupiter's surface ... and therefor the weight of

anything there ... is about 2.64 times as much as it is on Earth.
It has an overall mass which is much greater than Earths mass. Mass is related to gravity, the more mass a body has, the higher the force of gravity at its surface.

Jupiter has more mass than Earth. The force of gravity depends on the mass (also on the distance).

Sometimes we are unable to say "why" things are as they are. Jupiter is what it is. Saturn is what it is.

Sometimes "why" isn't a meaningful question when it comes to physical facts.

Because Jupiter's mass is many thousands of times the mass of the Moon.

Does the Earth have more gravity than Jupiter?

Jupiter, the biggest planet in the solar system, has far more gravity than the Earth. Only the Sun has more gravity than Jupiter in our solar system.

Is Jupiter's gravity stronger then Earth's?

No. The gravity of Jupiter more than twice as strong as that on Earth.

Is gravity on Jupiter more or less than earth?

Jupiters gravity is much more than on the earth!

How does Jupiter have more or less gravity than Earth?

Jupiter has more gravity than Earth because i'ts size is bigger, so it has more gravitational pull

What planet has twice the gravity of earth?

Despite the fact that Uranus has a mass 14.5 times Earth's mass, its surface gravity isless thanEarth's.Jupiter and Neptune both have more "surface gravity" than Earth.

How much more is the level of gravity on jupiter than on earth?

The acceleration of gravity at the 'surface' of Jupiter is 2.639 times its value at the Earth's surface.

Does Jupiter has more gravity than earth?

Yes, because of Jupiter's massive size.

Is there more gavity on Jupiter than earth?

If you mean gravity, the bigger a planet is, the larger the gravity, so yes,Jupitar has more gravity than earth.

Why do you weigh more on Jupiter than on Earth?

because Jupiter has a bigger mass than earth and the more mass means the more gravitational attraction

Are things heavier or lighter on earth than Jupiter?

Things are much lighter on Earth than Jupiter, because the great mass of the planet Jupiter (Over 4 times that of Earth) creates more of a gravitational pull, which makes you more heavy in Jupiter.

Why does earth have the most amount of gravity?

The amout of gravity is directly related to the mass of the body, since the earth has more mass it also has more gravity than the moon just like Jupiter has more mass than earth so it has more gravity.

What if the surface gravity of Jupiter?

24.79 m/s2 or 2.528 times the gravity of Earth The gravity on Jupiter is greater than the gravity on Earth because Jupiter is more massive. Although Jupiter is a great deal larger in size, its surface gravity is just 2.4 times that of the surface gravity of Earth. This is because Jupiter is mostly made up of gases. If you weigh 100 pounds on Earth, you would weigh 214 pounds on Jupiter.
