After Itachi massacred the clan, Sasuke's innocence was corrupted, his ideals and personality changed severely, becoming cold, lonely, cruel, cynical, somewhat arrogant, and with the next nine years of his life devoted to killing Itachi. Although now Sasuke REGRETS killing itachi after remebering what a good brother he was.

Actually I think Sasuke is making his way there to kill the elders, so they'll proabably have a battle later on. People are saying that Sasuke dies but I'm not really sure. Naruto probably doesn't bring Sasuke back home. I agree with that explanation....

This might be a spoiler, but Sasuke kills Danzo because him and the other elders around the third hokages. People ordered itachi to kill the uchiha clan. Itachi was only staying loyal to the leaf village, but he left Sasuke alive and told the hidden leaf to keep him safe.

What does Sasuke do after he wins against itachi?
After Sasuke wins against Itachi, he learns from Madara (Tobi) that Itachi was told by Danzo to kill the clan. Itachi was forced, and told the elders to spare Sasuke or they would pay. Sasuke then decided that because Itachi basically died to save him, he would go back to Konoha to destroy it and it's elders. He then teams up with Madara (Tobi) to accomplish this, thus him and the rest of Team Taka/Snake (now Team Hebi/Hawk) join the Akatsuki (him and Madara/Tobi [the leader] have the same plans).
