This is a good question. When you click "Ask a Question" and use the question form you can't simply type in a few key words and go and you can't explain your whole story. You need to write your query in a complete but concise sentence in the form of a question. We've done things this way because WikiAnswers is not a search engine (where you use keywords to find information) and it's not a discussion forum (where people exchange information freely). It's something unique. It's a site for growing information resources collaboratively. When you ask a question on WikiAnswers you're doing more than looking for an answer. You're planting a seed for a new topic. Your question will grow into a permanent question-answer resource for everyone looking for this information.
