How can you have a manual shift and auto in the same car. Which one do you have? this car has a button on shifter that puts it in man shift mode it is an auto

that sounds like your starter motor isn't working, which would explain why there is no noise when you try to restart it

could be that the coil is getting hot and wont restart until it cools down.

Yours apparently works the same was as mine. Mine has to be in neutral to restart it. You would think you could pull in the clutch and restart from there but mine wont. So i guess yes.

Restarting means combination operation of shutting down the computer and turning it ON again. This is why windows xp close down when the restart button is clicked. logicwonder

Yes it can. I had a 1998 Honda Odyssey with an aftermarket set-up and it did that. I would pull over, put it park and restart. After an ignition switch recall, the system is not connected anymore so the problem is gone.

you would restart your computer to install updates or return your computer to a fresh state when you have been running a lot of prgrams that would still be running in the background even after closeing them

I had this happen to me once. It was a bad alternator.

AnswerI think. the difference is when you restart. (ex: a computer.) the systems is half awake. like some virtual memory' though eventually coming to shutting down and running again. in shutdown of course, it will gradually coming to a stop. all of the system itself. (only if you choose shutdown/restart from windows scroll bar.)

You cannot, at least for the DS version. You will need to restart the game and sometimes eject and put back in the game card.

User Avatar

When we have this problem, we turn the ignition off and shift into neutral, restart the engine and it can then be shifted into drive or reverse.

User Avatar

how many times you drove the car almost on empty [it only takes once to burn your fuel pump] you need to replace it, GM'S good for it.

User Avatar

It would die and not restart. Yes it may restart! I have had modules quit when they get hot and work again when they cooled down.

User Avatar

Bad fuel filter or maybe some water in the gas tank.

User Avatar

No you were driving and it quit.and if it cranks it is turning over. check for spark at the spark plugs and also for fuel pressure at the injector rail.

Apples approved way is to shut down the computer for at least 10 seconds then restart and press the Shift key immediately after the start up chime, hold it until you get the grey Apple logo and the spinning gear indicator. When done just restart normally. You can just restart then hold down the shift key instead of shutting the computer completely down but some trouble shooting steps are to cold start the computer, (shutting down for a few seconds to a few minutes to clear the ram, etc, and cool any overheated parts)

Could be that Windows downloaded an automatic update and your computer needed a "restart" to finish this task. Check your preferences for installing automatic updates. click start>run> Type msconfig>click advance button> check "disable fast shutdown " Restart. if it is checked already uncheck it restart and then recheck then restart. if you are unable to access msconfig then go to microsoft.com winxp area and search there for "xp shutdown suppliment" download a little patch if you get and double click it to patch. Now try to restart

Computers don't restart after shutting down. You probably have some setting on your OS which give the computer the command to always reboot. Change that setting.

a mechanic told me it could be the neutral security switch on the clutch if it is a straight drive
