if your door wont close then i would look at the "eyes" but if it wont open or close check the wires take it wall unit off and make sure the wires are hooked up.
I just learned a costly lesson and that you need to check the power. Are your red beams lit up? Check your trip switch. That's a $60 lesson and I hope I can save someone else a service call perhaps.
There should be an override switch inside the garage.
Your car brand won't make any difference. It might be related to the batteries in the remote and the distance to the electronics inside the garage when the opener is outside. You could be trying to open the door from too far away if it happens when you are driving up to the house. If it happens sitting in the driveway check your owners manual in the troubleshooting section. Contact the installer or manufacturer if the manual doesn't help. Regardless, I would check the batteries in the remote first.
hello i have a 1996. and you hold your garage door remote opener up to the buttons in the car, some how it reads the signal and remembers it.
Press the button that will be used for the door opener until the light starts flashing. Then hold up your garage door opener remote and press to open garage door. It will then set.
The Garage door will automatically open and close when a sim or car needs to pass through.
Pull the red handle to disconnect the opener from the door (While door is closed). Try to lift the door by hand, if it is heavy or not possible to open by hand you may need new springs, adjustment, or force adjustment on the opener. Call a professional as springs have very high tension and are dangerous.
if you are really really strong you might use a crow bar and pry it open.

A roller garage door is a door for ones garage. It is called a roller garage door because the door operates with rollers on a track frame that allows the door to open and close.
The garage door track's slider is attached to the door with a pair or adjustable arms, and the door is set on guide rails that use pulley wheels. Many garage doors are able to be opened with a remote control.
