The iPhone 3GS has no FaceTime (front camera) and starts at $99. and the iPhone 4 (which has facetime) starts at $199
the iPod touch 4G is iPhone 4 minus the phone. and it starts at $229, but that's is all you have to pay, FOREVER. But the iPhone is $199 + Plan (which is monthly). That explains everything.

∙ 13y agoThe problem is actually 2 parts. Advertising and demand. Apple's advertising budget is outrageous and in the end ultimately they have to recoup the cost from their products. The second reason is that with all the advertising they are the most popular brand which causes high demand which in return makes for higher pricing. Btw they are extremely overpriced if you compare other brands such as Sony,Zune, etc..

∙ 14y agoan iPod touch cost soo much because of how many apps can be placed on it. their are literally millions of apps. you can also have songs as well as videos on an i touch. and cause the apple corporation is capitalist. just saying.

∙ 14y agoHey iPods are at least $299 for a brand spank'n new iPod touch, but if your looking for a nano then it would cost about $134 for an 8 gig, $159 for a 16 gig how I helped ;D
