There are several reasons why a carburetor would do this. The most common reason is that there is a clog, which could be fixed by cleaning it. Another common cause is a problem with the accelerator pump. You can purchase a do it yourself kit to attempt to fix the problem.
425 ci engine with a four barrel carburetor or electronic fuel injection.
It depends if your car has the four barrel carburetor or is electronically fuel injected. carbureted cars have the fuel filter located behind the carburetor inlet nut. Just follow the metal fuel line from the pump to the carburetor. If your car is fuel injected cars the filter is located in a bracket on the lower left portion of the engine.
It is located inside the fitting between the fuel line and the carburetor.
No

Remove the large nut where the fuel line enters the carburetor. The filter is located behind that connection.
Basically a 2 barrel carburetor was developed for a V8 engine. It delivers fuel from 2 sides, each side for one row of cylinders. So you have single barrel carburetor only delivers one lot of fuel, 2 barrel delivers 2 lots of fuel to make distribution more even on V engines. You also have 4 barrel carburetors which deliver 4 lots of fuel for more even distribution and generally for better performance. When tuning a 2 barrel you can actually hear the difference if car has twin exhaust and you stand at the rear and listen as someone else tunes the carburetor.
yes. if your feeling way cocky you can even run two four barrels and just eat fuel like nothing
It is fuel injected, no carburetor. It is fuel injected, no carburetor.
The location of the fuel filter depends on where the carburetor is mounted. If the carburetor is mounted directly atop the fuel tank, the filter is located within the tank at the end of the hose that attaches to the carburetor. The carburetor has to be removed to access the fuel filter. If the carburetor is not mounted to the fuel tank and the fuel is "gravity-fed" to the carburetor, the filter is usually an in-line filter located somewhere on the fuel line between the tank and the carburetor.
Remove the fuel line from the front of the carburetor by using a 5/8" wrench on the line fitting and a 1" wrench on the carburetor nut. Next remove the 1" nut from carburetor. There will be a spring and the filter. Note the placement and direction of filter, it has been awhile ,but it should be filter hole towards carburetor, spring, nut. There may or not be a rubber check valve in the new or old filter both styles work in will work. They only made two sizes of filter then a shorter one for two barrel carbs about an 1" and one but 2" for four barrel carbs.

Has no carburetor. It is fuel injected.
carburetor.
No carburetor, fuel injected.
It doesn't have a carburetor. It is fuel injected.
No, there is no return line. Because of the low pressure of fuel systems on carberated vehicles, there is no need for a return line.
If your car has the fuel injected V6 the fuel filter is next to the fuel tank. If your car has the carburetor the fuel filter is in the inlet to the carburetor.
The position of the fuel filter depends on what type of fuel tank to carburetor system your mower uses. If the carburetor is mounted directly on the tank, the filter is located within the tank at the end of the carburetor pickup line. If the carburetor is mounted separate from the tank, the filter is usually on the fuel line somewhere between the tank and the carburetor.
