Because it's an old iPad, it's most likely because the Deer Hunter 2014 developers don't make updates for devices that old anymore. When the developers quit updating the app, that means they won't fix any of the bugs that may be causing the app to crash on older iPads. Unfortunately, there really isn't a fix for it other than putting up with the crashes, finding a similar app that works better, or getting a newer iPad.
