In Eukaryotes, the cells have a nucleus which contain it's genetic material (DNA and chromosomes). The nucleus is basically the "power house" of the cell and allows it to function in many ways. It's like our hearts, without it beating, we would die...quite like eukaryote cells..

However in prokaryote cells, they do not have a nucleus, and do not require it. These types of cells just have one strand of free-floating DNA, which is floating around the cell :)

A eukaryotic cell has a nucleus simply because of the way that we define eukaryotic cells. Prokaryotes lack nuclei, but eukaryotes have them, all due to widely accepted classification schema.

What cell has a nucleus that controls all of the cells functions?

Every cell has a nucleus. A necleus is basically a brain. It holds all the information needed to run the cell. The nucleus tells the cell what to do. Weather it is a muscle cell or a plant cell, it has a nucleus. Every cell has a nucleus.

yes - of course. every cell has one.

Is a nucleus a plant cell?

No. The nucleus is the part of the cell that holds the DNA. Plant cells have a nucleus, but a nucleus by itself is not a cell.
