Why does it take so long for your tracker to catch 2nd gear in od but if its in drive 2 and you put it in od when it hits 30 it changes fine?

Not sure if I understand but if it's in OD it will be geared higher and change later. In drive 2 it's geared for city driving and changes sooner.OD should only be used if going over 45MPH.That way you will save your transmission from being geared too high for city driving. It will last longer that way also.
