That sound is coming from the front wheel "CV" drive joints. Very common and probably not something that needs to be fixed. It is just happens after they start to wear a little. If you know an HONEST mechanic you could have him check it out but a crook would just tell you the CV joints need to be replaced ;at a massive price. What price is temporary silence worth?
