Because liquids, solids, and other dense states of matter generally have molecules packed closer together than with gasses, plasmas, etc. Sound is transmitted by vibrations, basically particles bumping into eachoter, and because there is less space between particles in denser states of matter it takes less time for each particle to bump into the next, speeding up the transmission of sound.
because the atoms in metal are closer together than in wood which make it easier for the waves to jump from atom to atom.
metal since it is solid
sound can travel through metal.
Sound travels faster through air. Though sound travels farther through solid objects (vibrations), it is faster when traveling through air waves.
They are denser. Molecules are closer together. Vibrations move faster.
sound travels faster through steel
sound travels faster in solids. sound travels faster in metals like steel
Light travels much faster than sound, through wood.
Yes, sound can travel through metal strings. It can travel through any medium except for vacuum.
sound travel faster through soled because of tighter packed particles
Through metals
Yes. Sound travel faster through water than air n fastest through compact solid material like metal.
