it can be some sensors that let your computer know what is wrong and ther for your engine light turns on or also some loose wires or the computer itself.it can all be checked at an auto place where they can check your car's compuer data to see what is misfunctioning!

If check engine light is on, have a parts store read the code. It will tell you there is a random misfire and usually what cylinder is misfiring. Replace the coil pack for that cylinder and all will be well.
