I have 302,000 on it and it is still going strong. I change oil every 3K
The Nissan TD 27 diesel engine has an engine oil capacity of nine gallons. Nissan recommends that the oil be changed every 12,000 miles.
every engine needs fuel, air, and spark. which is it not getting?
The 'oxygen sensor'may need to be replaced on '96 Sentra when the check engine light comes on. The should be replaced on the '96 Sentra every 100k miles for better fuel efficiency and to protect the converter.
The engine is for racing. I dont know if its ment to be driven otherwise.
Your 1998 Nissan has a timing belt. Every combustion engine has a timing belt. The automaker recommends you change the timing belt every 60,000 miles.
The manufacturer recommends that you change your 2000 Nissan Frontier four-cylinder engine timing belt every 60,000 miles. The 2000 Nissan Frontier does not have a timing chain, it has a timing belt.
The oil in a Nissan Xterra should be changed every 3 months or 3,000 miles, This helps to minimize engine wear and prolong its overall life.
Replace every 105,000 miles. Know that this is an interference engine and if the belt breaks you will have internal engine damage.
Every vehicle has warning lights to inform the driver of things going on. The check engine light comes on because there is something going wrong with the engine.
Must be changed every 105,000 miles. This is an interference engine.
Every sensor on the engine and transmission can cause the light to come on.
check your vacuum hoses, they could be loose or they could have a leak
it may have a blockage in the fuel line, check every part of it form tank to engine.

If the check engine light is flashing every second or so with the engine running that means an engine cylinder misfire has been detected
I would say it is the cam sensor, that would cause more problems with the idle than the throttle body. Have it scanned for codes, if it is the cam sensor then the computer will let you know.
I have used Pennzoil 10W-30 in my 1987 Nissan Pickup 4 cylinder Z24 for the last 16 years. I bought it in 1992 with 75,000 miles and now have 177,000 miles on it. It uses no oil other than maybe 1/4 or 1/2 quart between oil changes every 3,000 miles. Still seems to be a strong running truck!
Remove the oil pan, unbolt the pickup tube and pump and replace it with the new pump. You may have to loosen up the engine mounts to jack up the engine for room to work on every thing. I recomend a new pickup tube with the new oil pump.
1990-1997 all had the KA24e. 96-97 were OBD2 though (easy to change however). The 90-95 were all identical in every way engine wise. Nissan didn't try to fix something not broken....
The two stroke has more initial pickup because combustion happens every time the piston is at or near the top dead center. In the four stroke, combustion happens every other time the piston is at or near top dead center. <><><><><> Since the combustion cycle occurs every rotation, instead of every other rotation, there is twice as much torque available to the engine output.
A 5.3L engine in a Chevy pickup truck will require 6 quarts of 5W30 oil. It is highly recommended to replace the oil and oil filter every 3,000 miles.
You must change it every 105,000 miles. WARNING: This is an interference engine, therefore, if the belt breaks you will had e internal engine damage.
It has a cam belt that must be replaced every 105,000 miles. Warning: This is an interference engine.
