The red brake light comes on when the p brake is set, the switch for the p brake is faulty, the brake fluid level is low, or the brake fluid level switch is faulty.

If the abs light is also on, you will have codes in the abs computer too for an electrical failure of a sensor or switch..

Because you pushed the brake. I think you need to rephrase your question.

You can access the brake light assembly from the cargo compartment of your 1998 Dodge Neon. Remove the wiring harness from the back of the brake light. Remove the brake light retaining bolts. The brake light will come out. Reverse the process to install your new brake light.

When the ABS and Brake light come on, it means there is a problem in the ABS and Brake system. If the issue is resolved and the light stays on, a person can use a scanner and clear this light.

check your brake fluid level under the hood. This may be true if the brake light is in the dash . If the light your talking about is the actual brake lights on the rear of the car you probablly have a short in the steering column

Hey Laura==The whole tail light housing has to come off and the bulbs just come out from the rear. GoodluckJoe

Bad brake light switch, it's on top of the brake pedal under the dash.

No , the brake light should come on when you press the parking brake pedal , but the ABS light should not come on

Yes , the " BRAKE " light in your dash will come on if the brake fluid is low or your emergency / parking brake is engaged

The abs light comes on and stays on when the computer detects a malfunction and sets a code.

No, the red brake warning light will come on.

The brake light in the dash comes on if the parking brake is engaged or the brake fluid level is low in the brake master cylinder in the engine compartment

Check to see if the brake fluid level in your brake master cylinder ( in your engine compartment ) is low , if the brake fluid level is low or your parking brake is on the brake light in your gauge cluster will come on

Check your brake fluid. The light will come on due to low fluid. Or someone has yanked your E-Brake.

Those lights come on when the abs computer detects a malfunction and sets a code. See related question below.

If your handbrake is on or if the brake fluid level in the brake master cylinder in your engine compartment is LOW , the " brake " light in your dash will light up

You need to check the brake switch that the brake pedal works under the dash.

Defective or misaligned stop light switch check the bulb, brake filament might be burnt out

This light is used for 2 different purposes.(1) If the brake fluid is low, this light will come on.(2) light will come on when you engage the parking brake.

Brake light, on your 2000 Chrysler Concorde, by accessing it from the inside of the trunk. Take hold of the brake light, push in and turn. The brake light will come out.

Brake lights only come on when you press the pedal. The brake light is either a different bulb or filament in a dual-filament bulb than the tail light.

The brake light assembly can be access through the cargo compartment. Remove the cover to the brake light assembly. Take hold of the brake light connector, push in and turn at the same time. The brake light will come out. Reverse the process to install the new brake light.

There are dozens of possible reasons. I'd have to examine your truck's electrics, pedals and electronics to be sure. Take it to a mechanic.
