The presence of high humidity, and a difference in temperature between the inside and outside.
moisture in the air condensing on the colder glass another possiblity could be a leaky heater core.
Aftermarket junk!
Typical of the heater core leaking. Overheat because of low fluid and pressure. Foggy windshield due to heater core leaking and will smell antifreeze in the car.
Heated air is coming up the vents on the inside. If it has enough moisture, it will condense on the relatively cooler windshield. The same thing happens when there is warm moist air being circulated inside the car, and the outside air is cold.
bad heater core.
Because of the humidity it is giving off when it falls onto your windshield/////the rain cools your windshield causing the humidity in your car to condense on the glass put on defroster and crack window open to clear this quickly
well it could be because of the heat. if its cold out and you have the heat on in the car, then you will get hot and that will cause the window to fog.
Its common physics. As your driving down the road, the air that comes in contact with it melts the ice. Its the same thing as frost or fog on your Windshield. if you warm up your car in the morning, and turn cold air onto your windshield, it will actually melt it faster that hot air would, being that it takes your car a while to produce hot air.
So the heat bounces off and doesnt cause fog on the glass. (the metallic side) What it really does, is not make it too hot in your car.
It's either stopped up (no heat) or leaking. If leaking you will smell antifreeze (sweet sickening smell) and it might fog up your windshield with the defroster on. Leaking alot, the carpet is wet. Keep an eye on the antifreeze level.
I would say if you have ice or frost on the windshield it would be best to let the car warm up for 10 minutes or so to help you clear the windshield.
Jack the front of the car up and crawl under it and you will see how the fog lights unbolt.
