One of two possible issues... Remove the exsisting filter, check that it's rubber sealing ring is still attached to the cartridge. Then use a flash light and a small pick, and check to confirm that a previous cartridge gasket is not become embedded in the machined seating ring of the mount. If so, remove the old gasket, and reseat filter. A second possibility is that the threaded cartridge mount is damaged, and is not alllowing the cartridge to seat fully against the machined ring.
your truck is likely leaking coolant due to a blown head gasket making white smoke and coolant smell
White smoke coming from the exhaust is a sign of a bad head gasket. There are some products that you can try for a blown head gasket but they are only good for small leaks. You will probably have to remove the head and replace the head gasket.
you have put a new head gasket on it.
Filter is located on driver side near the back of the engine (Pain in the rear to access). It is a metal type simmilar to an oil filter It has a water separator on the bottom of it. First unplug the wires on the water separator. Twist the filter off, a filter wrench may be nessisary but they are difficult to get on the filter. Make sure gasket came with the filter. Remove the water seperator change its rubber gasket and install on new filter. Make sure new gasket is properly seated on the new filter and fill filter with freash diesel. Carefuly put new filter back on engine, avoid getting debree in filter. Tighten 1/2 turn after gasket touches. Plug in Water seperator wires Use manual primer to top off fule in filter. It is located down and back from bottom of filter on engine block. Push it 30- 40 times Start vehicle. If the truck doesn't start crack the nuts loose on the first three injectors (by exaust manifold). Crank engine until fule sprays out of cracked nuts. Tighten nuts and start truck.
Truck Universe - 2004 Head Gasket Fail was released on: USA: 8 October 2012
A 2008 Ram truck was not built with a cabin filter.
This would depend on the year and make of the truck. In general, an older truck would sell for 1500 dollars or so with a blown head gasket.
If it was removed then YES.
The oil filter is on the passenger side of the engine, about halfway down the block. Easiest way to get to it is with a filter strap, through the wheelwell. Loosen it until you can spin it by hand. Get underneath the truck, reach up and spin it off, you can pull it straight down without tipping it and making a mess. Reinstall from under the truck (after priming at least 3/4 full of oil) and lubing the gasket... Spin on until gasket hits the baseplate, and use a strap wrench to go 1 full turn past that (through the wheelwell).
If the truck is equipped with a cabin filter, the filter may be plugged up with debris.
where is the fuel filter located on a 2002 Nissan frontier truck 4 cycle
Your truck does not have a cabin filter.
