Why does your 1998 Cadillac Catera only start sometimes and you can turn the key and the radio and lights will go on but it will not crank and then you wait a second and it starts fine?

Yes. Second from left on top row of fuse block under dash under steering wheel. There's also a relay I bought from NAPA but it's not shown in the owner's manual and I've yet to find it.

The fuse is second from left in fuse bank under panel under steering wheel. There's also a fog lamp realy I bougth from NAPA but haven't yet found (it's not shown in owner's manual.) I've also read the muti-function relay way up under dash by drivers side far left air vent, may have somethiing to do with fog lights.

What would cause a 1997 Cadillac Catera to leak antifreeze by the drivers side front tire and overheat?
1997 Cadillac Catera HelpMost cars have two radiator hoses. One is the upper hose (Usually located towards the top front of the cars engine and sometimes easier to see and get to to replace) and the second located below it toward the middle or side of the engine. Check your hoses first for any cracking, wearing, check to make sure that the clamps are tightened and not loose or broken and are properly placed on hose. If you keep having to replace the antifreeze every few days that is a good indicator that there is a good size leak and may be the cause of your engine overheating as well. The other problem may be that your radiator may have a crack in it and that would mean it definitely needs replacing. Also consider having your cars thermostat checked, this doesn't sound like it is the cause of your problem but is a good idea to have checked. Hope this Helps.Cheryl
