Should have a carburetor so all you have to do is turn the idle screw down some on the carb.
Turn the idle nob on the ecu counter clockwise a little until you get the idle you want.
When I start up my 1988 cherokee laredo the idle is so high and loud it make me get very angry?
There are several things that can cause your 1997 Kia engine to idle too high. The most common cause is a malfunctioning fuel pressure regulator.
83 is prime so the answer is 1 and 83
its all computer controlled in the ecu there are so many things that can cause a low/high idle and if you cant diagnose it in depth take it in to a good shop
On an automatic trans in park and at operating temperature, at idle, level surface, pull up on dipstick lock if so equipped, check stick, do not overfill. On manual trans, raise car safely, remove inspection plug on side of trans, and add as necessary to within a 1" of fill hole.
There really isn't an adjustment just the IAC valve which may be dirty causing the idle to be too high or too low so the Idle Air Control valve has to be cleaned or changed.
yes. use brake cleaner to find the leak. However replace your ects and clean your throttle body. This is normally the reason for a high idle. ----------------------------------------------------------- THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR ANSWER!
Somewhere on your vehicles throttle body (which should be at the point where your intake tube ends) there should be an adjustment screw that adjusts the idle. Turn it clockwise to slow the idle, turn ccw to speed it up.However, I tampered with the idle on my vehicle and the computer just re-adjusted it shortly afterward and it began idling high again.I would honestly recommend that you take it to a trained professional mechanic. Preferably, a caddy specialist.
p0401 is lack of egr flow p0171 is bank 1 lean So we have two problems that are commonly related, often accompanied by high idle that will not return to normal. With out high idle problem you may have a pluged EGR or Vacume leak at the EGR system. THe High idle is definately a clue that you have leak in the EGR system.
Once your out of idle the idle air control valve isn't used so it shouldn't affect the operation of the car once your moving
83 is a prime number so its only factors are 1 and itself.
