Probably because the line is still at least partially clogged.

First put 3 pounds of bakingsoda into it. Then pour 1 and a half liters of vinegar. it actually works! I tried it with my toilet. If it starts bubbling it means its working. 30 seconds after you pour in the vinegar flush the toilet 3 times. Then you will have a nice unclogged toilet

It is clogged. Where? It depends. Usually when any water working thing in a household is clog, it can be solved in the main water pipe. ================== Here is a good plumbing layout in a bathroom - http://www.cornerhardware.com/articles/art51.htmlWhen the toilet flushes, the rush of the water down the pipes creates suction. This pulls the air thru the roof vent. If this vent is clogged (by bird's nest, snow etc), then the air will be sucked in from the bathtub drain. This is what is causing the gurgle sound.

The toilet will not flush or it backs up into a drain or the bathtub.

User Avatar

Most people don't. If you do then visit a doctor or have a plumber call.

User Avatar

This is not a venting problem. You have a possible blockage. Get a plumber to check your sewer lines. They may need to be cleaned out.

The toilet itself is plugged or the pipe from the toilet to the drain is plugged. It may be that the tub and sink have their own drain pipe that may connect to the main away from the toilet drain. Plunge the toilet or sometimes if you fill a 5 gallon bucket with water and pour it into the toilet as fast as it will take it, that will flush out the line. It is a greater amount of water all at once an forces out what the clog is.

Well, it depends how many times you don't flush a toilet. If you don't flush it one time, nothing happens. But if you don't flush it for a month or something, and then you finally flush it, it may get clogged with toilet paper.

If the toilet works each time on one flush, they use roughly half the water of a standard toilet. You would then use half as much a month on the toilet. They do not always flush completely on the first flush and the toilet is only a part of the water bill.

User Avatar

You will probably clog your toilet or pipes if you flush anything but toilet paper. I would not recommend trying to flush underwear down the toilet.

All toilet tissue is supposed to flush easily in reasonable quantities, NOT in huge clumps

Often a toilet will gurgle after flushing for one or more of the following.1-the drain line has a partial blockage2-the vent line has a partial blockage.3-the toilet itself has a partial blockage.4-Incorrect installation of sewer/vent toilet lines. There are a couple of other rare circumstances that may cause this, but the majority is related to the above. If the toilet is able to flush and no signs of slow draining or back up, then it is most likely the vent line that is obstructed.Sounds like verbatim what I had posted over a year ago
