There is a problem with the charging system. More than likely the alternator is failing.

Mine did the same thing and shortly after my alternator had gone.
Check the connection at the floor behind the seat to see if it is disconnected.

Your car is telling you that it needs to get serviced Because there is an electrical charge passing through a filament within your indicator light. This produces intense heat and emits photons. Until this electrical charge is interrupted, the light will continue to stay on. Simple fix for this is to remove key from the ignition. If light stays on, suggest remove battery. If light is still on, see a mechanic ;-D
