If this "large lump" is a cyst it may eventually burst. There is nothing I know of that you can do other than wait for things to take their course and make sure the fishes water is kept perfect by daily water changes.
The fish has been bleached to death by Ammonia. Please observe the basic rules of fishkeeping next time you want to keep fish. The rules are. :- 1 inch of fish (a Betta is a 3 inch fish) needs at least 1 gallon of water. Every tank must have a permanently running 'cycled' filter. Every tank must have at least 50% of its water replaced every week.
You have literally neglected your fish to a very nasty death.
You dont really need a fliter in a fresh water tank for just one betta.
It is sick. You can find medicine for it in a pet shop.

Well, if you love your Betta fish, then it should live by itself. But if you add another Betta to your current Betta fish's tank, then they will start a fight because Betta Fish are Siamese fighting fish and if one Betta is in contact of another Betta, the possible reason would be a fight between them two.
A betta is a fish of the species Betta, especially Betta splendens, commonly known as the Siamese fighting fish.
