The engine may not be getting the fuel it needs to keep running. If you know there is sufficient fresh fuel in the tank, look for a clogged fuel filter.

Why does Great Dane lawn mower start but stalls as soon as you back the choke out?

By backing the choke out I assume you mean turning it off. If it stalls when the choke is off but runs while it is on then you have an air leak somewhere

What will cause the bad spark plug to lawn mower?

Deep in the heart of bad spark plugs there is a desire to lawn mower. It is a phenomenon as old as the spark plug itself. The original inventors of the spark plug thought they had it just right when they had the little ceramic and steel chunk in their hands, but they had overlooked one detail, the most important detail of all. The detail that doesn't surface until the good spark plug... goes bad. Anyone in posession of a spark plug must remain vigilant lest the good plug transform into a bad one. As soon as the plug has gone bad, it is too late to save its fate. The process starts when the plug realizes its estranged situation, sitting in an engine block, all alone in the world, expected to take the heat day after day, to put up with quick orders, extreme pressure, and the occassional scraping up and twisting around, and perhaps most demanding of all, keep its vibrant spark the whole time. The process starts slowly. The concept of "lawn" will form in its mind. Then the word "mower" will also take shape. The two get combined into the most evil verb of all, "lawn mower." The plug will have an epiphany of sorts, where all the pieces of the puzzle will fall into place, one by one evil piece. And then it happens. It lawn mowers. You don't want to be around when it lawn mowers. You don't even want to ask what it does when it lawn mowers, for that question is nearly as gruesome as the answer itself. Not to mention that no one is around to answer, because all witnesses to lawn mowering suffer such a diabolical and tortuous fate. Why, you ask, why, does a bad spark plug lawn mower? The answer to your question is that no one can say exactly why a bad spark plug lawn mowers. All that can be said is that they do, and, God have mercy on our souls, you don't want them to. I write this with the utmost urgency that, You. Do. Not. Let. Your. Good. Spark. Plug. Go. Bad.

Put battery charger on sears mower and engine starts to turn over as soon as the charger is pluged in?

Sounds like the starter relay or solenoid is stuck. Check the selenoid - the selenoid might be stuck closed which would cause the starter to turn because the power wouldn't be shut off from the battery. Or it may be the ignition switch is stuck in the start position.

How do you repair excess oil in lawn mower?

just remove the drain plug and let the extra run out. Sometimes things can happen when the mower is ran that way like oil in the carburetor and cylinder. In that case clean out the carb with cleaner, remove spark plug and cycle mower through a couple times to expel the oil and replace with new plug. Start the engine after oil is returned tonormal level, it will smoke for a bit but will clear out soon.

When should I turn off my irrigation system?

You should shut off your irrigation system just before temperatures in your region begin to dip below freezing at night. Don't shut off your irrigation system too early. Often homeowners shut their systems down as soon as the fall season arrives because they believe that their lawn requires less water.

Lawn Mower Maintenance Is Critical?

If properly maintained, a lawn mower can provide years of service and keep a lawn looking beautiful. Compared to lawn care equipment of only a generation ago, today’s lawn mowers are easier to operate and more user friendly than ever. Nevertheless, many home owners either forget or postpone regular preventative maintenance and, in the best case scenario, don’t get the professional looking lawn they seek. Or, in the worst case, find themselves looking at costly repairs or even replacing the mower long before its lifespan should have ended. Whether the lawn mower is the riding variety or a walk-behind, the most important preventative maintenance chore is keeping the oil fresh and filled to the recommended level. In fact, checking the oil in a mower before each use is possibly more important than checking a car’s oil level regularly. Lawn mower engines run at a very high rpm, and since most have no auxiliary cooling system, internal temperatures can reach critical levels very quickly. And, just as it is important to make sure the oil level remains as full as recommended, it is equally important to not overfill it. Oil level is a fine balance in small internal combustion engines. As far as getting the best grass cutting results, a sharp blade and properly inflated tires are crucial. If tires are unevenly inflated, the result will be obvious after just a few passes across the lawn. A mower with improperly inflated tires will give the lawn an uneven appearance that no homeowner would want. At the same time, a blade that has become dull from hitting dirt or rocks, such as in anthills, or simply worn down from normal use, will also result in a less than desirable look to the lawn. Blades should be checked regularly before and during the mowing season, and sharpened as needed. Blades that become bent from misuse should be replaced as soon as possible. Power mowers have made lawn care easier, or even fun, but even the best mower will not perform up to its potential without proper upkeep.
