many people have different shapes of their nose, this is either because of their genetics they inherit. They also have bone in their nose determining the shape of it for their nostrils to smell.
When we smell we 'breath' in different kinds of molecules. Throughout certain parts of the day one nostril is better and can 'smell' faster and better than the other. This changes all of the time. The reason for this is because some molecules need to be smelt or inhaled slowly and other need to be smelt or inhaled quickly.
it first start out with your parents... you inherit their traits and get their nose characteristics. then if u happend to have broken it at some point, ur nose structure will change if u wear glasses, it can also shift ur nose downwards and eventually u'll have a poppin bone on ur nose like me... that really suks cuz ur lower nose expands outwards as a result making ur nose look big T_T it first start out with your parents... you inherit their traits and get their nose characteristics. then if u happend to have broken it at some point, ur nose structure will change if u wear glasses, it can also shift ur nose downwards and eventually u'll have a poppin bone on ur nose like me... that really suks cuz ur lower nose expands outwards as a result making ur nose look big T_T
People have small hairs in their nasal cavity called cilia, which trap dirt particles which are breathed in. The dirt is then wafted to the back of the throat, where it's swallowed.
It is an evolutionary feature, because if you spend decades living in the country, you will have relatively few hairs in your nose, becasue the air has fewer pollutant particles compared to the urban atmosphere.
Usually, the size, shape and other characteristics of the nose are inherited genetically.
so you can smell things and breathe. it is one of our 4 senses. =-)
To breath in and out and to smell.
The hairs inside your nose help to filter out things floating in the air, so that you don't breathe in a lot of dust and pollen and stuff.
Well not really everyone has a nose. Lord Voldermort doesn't have a nose. XD
All of our noses sweat because a little person just decided to take a trip up to our noses and pee on it. Therefore our noses sweat. Thank you and good night.
we need noses to smell, breath and taste
Some people think nose hairs block the large air particles while the mucus captures tinier air particles including tiny microbes like bacteria and viruses. But judging by the ability of microbes to infect people through the air, the theory seems weak. Still there is the possibility that the theory could be right.
The Mucous membrane
mopes
The Dustagrabba cells. Kidding, cilia.
The nose is the sense organ of smell. The nose allows us to smell because of special 'nose hairs' found further up in the nose away from the part we can see. these hairs pick up the smell of the surroundings send an appropriate message to the brain then the brain interprets it, and gives an identification of the smell.
Nasal hairs
can plucking nose hairs cuse sinusitis?
Epithelial cells I think.... or Cilia, no i think Cilia are hairs!
No, nose hairs start growing at the top of the nose and work it's way down. When you pluck nose hair you only take out 1/3 of the actual length.
You'd be inhaling all the stuff that the nose hairs filter out.
it has hairs :D how does the nose work?
yes
Yes, they are the hairs.
nose hairs
how many noes hairs to people have? how many noes hairs to people have? how many noes hairs to people have?
A filter and keep mucus from leaking out the nose.
because the skin in your nose is very sensitive so when you pluck your nose hairs it can rip off a large amount of skin that is why its bad to pluck nose hairs
