My Silhouette had that same problem. I found that the coolant level was too low and not circulating through the interior heating system. Once I topped off the coolant it worked properly.
I just completed repair of the original problem that caused the coolant level to go down in the first place which was a bad lower intake manifold gasket. It now works great and doesn't consume any more coolant.

It is because your heater is having to heat up so its blowing cold air out while its heating up.This means your heater is not very efficient and it needs to be checked.
can you please clarify what you mean, do you mean that the front heater blows cold but the rear blows hot or do you mean that when the heating is on cold it blows hot? many thanks paul
Because hot water heater breaker has tripped, or hot water heater has failed.
Depends on the size of the heater Commerical etc
Figure it out.
heater switch needs replaced
Low coolant, check when engine is cold.
When you want to know when your hot water heater is broken, simply run your faucet and test the water. If it's cold, the heater is broken.
Because if it is hot, we don't need it. It adjusts to the temperature
Check piping. Make sure cold line going into cold side of water heater and hot side coming out hot side. Cold feed for water heater should come off main cold line. Make sure valves are open to and from water heater.
Yes
Cold water pipe.
