Maybe cable is going bad and will have to be replaced
If you hear the starter spinning but not turnover it over. Or if the starter just clicks when you try to turn it over. If anything you can just take it out and have your local auto parts store test it.
Try disconecting the speedometer cable and squirt some lube in it. It might have dried out.
i am currently having a over heating problem with my vw golf mk1 - my new thermo switch is not getting the fan to come on ( works when i short it at the switch connector) - probly a radiator block usually when a thermo switch is not functioning - i will not allow the fan to kick in it either works or it dosent

The s3 light could be your speedometer cable if it is not working mine did that i hope this works. also the park censer might need adjusted or replaced
on my 98 4runner, its right over the silver intake tubing...right on top of the engine.
Freon but you can convert over to the new stuff
if your starter is clicking when u turn it over- that's a good sign.
Toyota should recall them, seriously, there have been over 1000 complaints of this same problem on the 2002 Toyota Camry - check google.
The fuel filter is mounted under the vehicle on the frame rail directly over, and somewhat hidden by, the crossmember.

This is to broad a question. They are all over the place and connected to everything from the tank to the intake manifold. Can you ask what your looking for? I can also suggest you check out a manual. In there will be full diagrams for you to check.
Your Honda 4runner may be equipped with a audio alert that will sound when the vehicle goes over a certain speed. Most of the audio speed alerts can be adjusted.

The 4Runner doesn't have struts; it has coil-over shocks in front. After removing the old shocks a spring compressor is required to remove the springs and install them on the new shocks. Take it to a front end shop that has the proper compressor and tools; it's very dangerous if you don't have good equipment and experience. The rear shocks are easy to replace by yourself.
Have had this on my toyota. Internally on the speedometer there are a set of gears that are lubricated with grease. They dry out over time and loose the lubrication causing a click. Mine was time consuming t get out but easy enough to do. I gained access to the gears thru a hole and sprayed in a teflon lube. FIxed the problem nicely. Jonathon
