Why doesn't the internet give me the information I'm searching for?

Because the internet is too much of a retard to find the answer, or maybe because the websites are being ass wipes. You should try another source to find the info, like a dictionary or some dude that'll help you.

answer 2 Not all information is on the Internet. For example, almost all of the science journals are not on the Internet, for to do so would cut into their profits. Some of these, but not all, offer abstracts of their articles.

Often simple spelling errors or phrasing will fail to elicit an answer.

Or the material may be copyright, such as a book or manual.
