You can swap the engine from your 1997 Cavalier 2.2 liter engine to your 2000 Chevy Cavalier. The wiring harness and motor mounts should be in exactly the same.
You can order a new engine wiring harness for a 92 Cavalier 3.1 at auto part stores. You can also check with a certified dealer.
if it is the same motor yes, but some may have different mounts or wiring plugs
I have one, 479-462-1270
Pontiac 2400yes but wiring harness may need to be changed.
yes, it can work however your going to need the engine, transmission, ecu, wiring harness, and bcm, and someone who knows how to fabricate new engine mounts and trans mounts, its quite a costly engine swap, but with lots of money and time just about anything can be done
No.....They look the same but they are not the same. The wires have been put in different places.
A wiring diagram for the 1994 Chevrolet Cavalier is a diagram that shows the placement of fuses and wiring for lighting and other electronics in the vehicle. This diagram is often found in the owner's manual.
Disconnect the Cavaliers battery. Take the wiring off of the starter, then unbolt it. Take the starter off, then bolt up the new one. Connect the wiring then reconnect the battery.
that depends which wiring do you have the 01 or the 04 if 01 then get the 01 if not get the other
what part of the wiring are you looking for? autozone.com or get a repair manual, they are in the back of the book.
Haynes manual - Doesnt have complete diagrams. only basics!
It is at the rear of the engine compartment on the passenger's side. Mine has a silver coloured housing with heat fins and at least 2 wiring harnesses connected to it.
There is a difference in the wiring and ECU between 96 and 97. I don't have a wiring diagram for them, but I believe most haynes manuals should have it. The 97 harness and ECU is a much more desirable setup if you intend to tune the engine since the 96 ECU is not supported by any aftermarket tuning programs.
I would recomend buying a repair manual for your cavalier, they have wiring diagrams in the book. its not free but is useful for any future trouble you may encounter.
Yes it will. I'm assuming you are talkig about a cavalier or another little car. The 98 will bolt right up to the 94. GM didn't change engines regularly. You may run into wiring problems but just take the wiring off your old engine put it it on the new one and done.
You would have to change ur engine mounts and wiring its a lot of truble but if u have the money it could be done with the right fabracations....
CHECK OUT AUTOLEADS.CO.UK
Yes, but the engine mounts would have to be changed, as well as all of the electrical wiring.
The Chevrolet Cavalier CD player wiring diagram shows the beginning location of each wire and the ending location of each wire. The diagram is handy when diagnosing problems.
go to your local auto parts store and purchase a haynes repair manual for your model year cavalier. they have all of the wiring diagrams in the back pages
