Why don't Muslims believe that Christ is Savior?

Christians believe that one's life is no longer characterized by a guilty conscience because all what you did can be wiped out by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ". However, this gives rise to two questions:

• Is it invitation to do sins, whatsoever, without feeling guilty because it will be wiped out by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ?

• Does it mean that God, the All-Just, forgive sins of Christians only, whatever it is, because of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ?

The answer to these questions explains why Muslims don't believe that Christ or any one else) is Savior.

Any one is subject to commit sins. However, one should be confident that God, the one and only one God-the Creator, is All-Merciful and All-Forgivable. He/she should:

• recognize that he/she committed sin,

• intend, as possible, not to repeat it again,

• repent and ask God for forgiveness

• if the sin related to depriving someone from one of his rights, then he/she should take corrective actions to return these rights back.

Then God, per His will, will accept his repent and forgive his sins. God likes to be asked directly without mediator whoever. He forgives all sins, per His will, except the sin of polytheism (of considering a partner to Him as son, father, or companion) that may not be forgiven by God. Quran says (meaning English translation):

" Declare (O Muhammad) unto My slaves , that truly, I am the Oft-Forgiving, the the Most-Merciful"

[Quran, chapter 15, verse 49]

and says:

"Say: 'O My slaves who have transgressed against themselves (by committing evil deeds and sins)! despair not of the Mercy of Allah (God): verily, Allah forgives all sins. Truly He is oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful"

[Quran, chapter 39, verse 53]

Jesus is believed as one of the greatest prophets and messengers but not believed as God or son of God or Savior. Quran says in this regards:

"Surely, they have disbelieved who say: 'Allah (God) is Jesus, son of Maryam (Mary)' but Jesus said: 'O descendants of Israel! Worship Allah (God), my Lord and your Lord'. Verily whosoever sets partners (in worship) with Allah (God), them Allah has forbidden Paradise to him/her and the fire will be his/her abode and for the polytheists there are no helpers."

[Quran, chapter 5, verse 72]

and says:

"Surely, disbelievers are those who said:'Allah (God) is the third of the three (in a Trinity).' but there is no god to be worshiped but one (God- Allah) and if they don't stop from what they say, verily, a painful torment will befall on the disbelievers among them"

[Quran, chapter 5, verse 73]

Muslims accept Jesus as an important prophet of Islam. Like the Jews, they find no credible evidence that he was the son of God.
