sometimes even if done completly right there is still some infection left at the root tip and this makes things go wrong
Yes, legally all general dentists are qualified to do root canals. But, IMO not as qualified as an endodontist who has gone through 2-3 years of additional training in the specialty and does ONLY root canals all day rather than once/week. I would only let an endodontist do my root canal and similarly (but more serious) I would only let a heart surgeon do my bypass surgery. == == All Dentists are qualified to do root canals.
The information you would like to find regarding root canals can we found at http://www.medicinenet.com/root_canal/article.htm. Here they explain why a root canal is benefical, as well as all complications and costs of undergoing a root canal procedure.
Root canal is performed only when teeth is damaged from the root. Only at that time dentist recommend this treatment. And it is really worthy it removes all the infection from the root of the website.
Yes, they are extremely painful. Some teeth might be more painful than others, it all depends on the tooth.
The root.
no i dont work at all
Pain depends on the severity of the infection, the depth of the root canal, the "skill" of the dentist, and your pain threshold. There's lots of factors in a root canal which can increase/decrease pain. I've personally had three root canals. At some points during, it is not comfortable at all. I've never felt pain during any of my root canals, probably because of the anasthetic which is used. In my last root canal I had a small ache afterwards for two days, which I'd pitch at around 2 out of 10.
Canals are artificial not natural. They are all built by humans.
Yes because the apical (end of the tooth) can still be prone to infection.
they dont work at all....
The alternative to not having a root canal is quite often removal of the tooth, which I suggest is worse off than not having the tooth. When a patient needs a "root canal", we really mean that the nerve is sick and must be removed in its entirety from the tooth, the empty space where it used to live cleaned and sterilized and finally sealed. Without the removal of the nerve, the tooth may become infected from the inside out resulting in tooth loss, or the pain for the patient may become so acute that tooth removal is the only other option. In summary, root canals are not bad for you.
Humans are mammals and we all have ear canals so, yes
