Electromagnetic waves have, as the name suggests, two components: the electric component and the magnetic component. These two waves are perpendicular to each other and are in phase, therefore where they meet they push off one another and basically propels itself forward. Therefore EM waves do not require a medium.

Because an electromagnetic wave is not a vibration, wave, or motion of any

physical material. It's only the electrostatic and magnetic fields that spread

out from an electric current.

Electromagnetic waves do not need a medium in which to travel. They move "best" through a perfect vacuum.

because it is a combination of oscillating electric and magnetic fields, in which each component sustains the other. Both can, and do, exist in a vacuum.

EMR acts like a wave, but it is also made up of particles called photons. Particles do not need a medium to move through space.

Electromagnetic waves are also particles. Those particles can travel through a vacuum, like space.

Because they are not mechanical waves. That is, their existence

does not require any waving or wiggling material.

Why radiation waves does not need any medium?

they do. As you might be aware of, light( radiation wave) is made of electromagnetic wave and its medium is electromagnetic field. So basically the medium of radiation waves is electromagnetic field.

Do electromagnetic waves need a medium?

No. We get electromagnetic waves from the sun. We can see stars and sun even though there is a virtual vacuum between us. Electromagnetic radiation or electromagnetic waves includes the radio and television signals that we can get from space satellites.Sound is not an electromagnetic wave, it needs a medium.
