Why don't men care or pay much attention to parents and siblings after getting married while women mostly care for their parents and siblings after getting married?

I have observed that many new wives feel 'threatened' by their in-laws (they feel that they are being judged). As a result of this they tend to steer their husband away from contact with his family while pulling him towards contact with their family.....The man goes along with this for an easy life!
