There are only two reasons why your computer your computer will not run specific games. These are Harware or Software.
Hardware specification for commerical games are printed on the box or specified on the website.
Also the specified software has to be in a fit state. ie you might have windows XP available to run a game, but if its riddled with spyware or viruses, it may not.

Generally, games work better on windows rather than mac's, but even with windows, some games still don't work. 2 probable reasons: 1) your computer is too old, or lacks a sufficiant graphics card, or needs more RAM or a better prosessor. 2) I have Vista, and some earlier games designed to work on windows 98, 2000 etc. that work on my xp computer, fail to work on my windows vista computer. This is because the computer thisks the games are crap and wont run them. I was guttered. I Sugest gamers who like new games with latest graphics to move to vista, one benifit being directx 10 (not compatible with xp) and gamers who like classics stay on xp. Vista is different, but once you are used to it, it is much easier.

∙ 14y agousually it is because: 1. Your C.P.U is not powerful enough to handle the game 2. Your hard drive is not big enough to hold the game 3. There is not enough Ram (random access memory) to let the game run smoothly on your computer.
