I had a 97 F150 with the same problem. Per internet advice I removed master light switch from steering column and cleaned the green corrosion. This gave me my highbeams back. Later when I had $100 for a new switch, I replaced it and the headlights have been working fine ever since.

Bad door switch or bad headlight switch
Perhaps you turned on the interior lights when you were adjusting the headlights?
You probably turned them on by accident. They are controlled with the same pull switch that turns on the headlights. By twisting the switch to the far left it will click and the dome lights will turn on, by twisting it to the right it will turn off the interior lights and will then dim the dashboard lights.
Headlights, interior lights stop working.checked all fuses. I would suspect the headlight switch and/or the electrical connection at the headlight switch is faulty.
should be with the head lights as an alternate switch or in combination with headlights, move switches in different combinations to see if you can get them to turn off
If the interior lights stay on while driving on a 2002 Impala, there could be a problem with the headlight switch. Check the relay center for the headlights that is just behind the headlight switch.
It sounds like a blown fuse or a bad head light switch
Check the fuse for the headlights. It is probably open.
Have you tried the dimmer switch? It is usually located next to the headlights switch. On pull out headlight switches, rotating the switch itself clockwise or counter clockwise is the dimmer switch and interior light switch.
No, the fog lights have a switch. No, the fog lights have a switch.
Check fuses if there is one specific for the lights (not interior) Find it funny that both would burn out at the same time so would imagine it is in the switch.
on the same switch that turns your head lights on...you should see a little pull switch at the tip, when you turn on the headlights pull it out...it will not work unless the headlights are on
not to sure but on my vectra it normally controls the interior lights, but you have to pull the switch out to put the interior lights on
On the interior lights for the back seats, there is a switch. When you turn the switch to "Door" mode it will make the lights turn on when the door is opened.
The switch for your lights is probably going bad or is dirty, you may also have a loose wire or connector. Find some way to spray WD40 inside the dash dimmer switch may help a lot.
its on the left turn signal switch, at the end is the headlights, then one in is the fog lights, you twist it just like you would the headlights
check the ignition switch under the console on the steering column
The switch to turn the interior light on and off on the R Reg Tigra is located on the headlight switch. Push the switch in to turn on the interior lights.
It really needs to be checked out but it probably is the headlight switch itself that is malfunctioning.
First thing you want to check is the dimmer switch to see if it is turned all the way down.
Check the setting on the switch
Well if you mean the interior lights they automatically switch off when you lock the car doors, if you mean your headlights the dial which turns the headlights on and to park also pulls out and pushes in so you may have it out??
The switch is not a switch. It is a light for the ashtray itself. It will only be on when the car has the headlights or running lights on.
you pull out the switch for the headlights, it took me a while to find it too
