Do all gases have definite shape and volume?
No gas has a definite shape or volume. Gasses, like fluids, will take the shape of whatever container they're put in. And gasses, as opposed to fluids, are compressible. With the help of a pump they can be packed into a smaller volume. If released into a lower ambient pressure, they'll fill that space too.
What is the different between a gas and a liquid?
the basic difference is between the distance between the molecule which totally changes their shape and structure ....... GAS: The molecules of gases are very far from each other therefore they neither have definite shape nor definite volume they can be compressed easily and the rate of diffusion is highest in gases LIQUID: The molecule are far but not very far from each other . As they are lit bit far therefore they dont have definite shape . they take the shape of their container. they have definite volume their compressibility is less than gasses, they can be compressed to some extent under high pressure . their rate of diffusion is less than gasses.....
