Because in the movie when the cat followed coraline in the other world it could do that thing you were asking....but at the end he does it without goin to the other world. That's the thing that makes you think a number 2 is coming out soon because the ghosts said she is still in danger and that. But the key was thrown down the well with the hand wich means the hand could build itself up climb up with the key and then you have a Coraline number 2!
