An admission that such a condition existed wuld require responsibility. It would mandate confrontation with other eco-terrorists/exploiters. It would not be good for the economy. It would require reductions in the standard or living of all industrial nations. If global warming is real, most world citizens fail to accept responsibility for it.
because people dont feel that they can do anything, for one. also, if they think that they aren't causing it, they feel that it's not their problem. Also, they dont have the time, dont know about it, or dont know how to help it
There are huge economic incentives for maintaining the status quo. In addition fossil fuel industry executives spend millions of dollars a year trying to convince people there is no connection between increasing levels of heat trapping CO2 and global warming, and that besides, CO2 is ultimately good for our environment, not harmful, and that scientists are greedy, irresponsible, reprehensible folks of low moral character, who readily sell out to anti-technologists seeking to dismantle and destroy our industries and to reduce our quality of life.
Back in reality scientists only rarely sell their souls so cheaply, and it is fossil fuel industry executives who can afford to pay for the results they prefer.
We can stop deforestation, and pollution of rivers and streams. We can stop polluting the atmosphere by burning fossil fuels (coal, oil and natural gas). We can close down coal burning power plants and move to clean renewable energy. We can educate ourselves and others, including our governments about the causes and effects of climate change. Then perhaps they will do something before it's too late.
It has done some things. One problem is that many people, including some in government, are convinced that global warming doesn't exist. However, there have been some efforts to reduce greenhouse emissions.
This is not true. Many countries have set targets for reduction of CO2 emissions and increase in renewable energy, following Kyoto.
people dont care because they dont think it affects them and they dont believe it exists. it is inconvenient for them to have to change the way they live because of global warming
The government is doing various steps. The ban on CFC's is one. It might cause the replenishing ozone layer.
None. Humans only account for less than 2% of all CO2 emissions into th atmosphere. The other 98-99% comes from nature itself such as dying plants and animals, Volcanoes, Weather, natural chemical reations and occurances, (such as methane swamps) and even weather. Lightning, for example, creates what is called Ozone, which is an unstable for of Oxygen (the gas we breathe) that is known to be dense enough to block some wavelengths of light (which started the whole "greenhouse effect" hoax). There is nothing humans that humans have done, are doing, or will ever do that can cause "global warming" or "climate change". More CO2 is released everyday in nature than we release in an entire year. So really, looking at a liberal approach, everything that emits CO2 (whether it being a combustion reaction or not) can theoretically cause "global warming". So technically even your farts are "killing the planet". However there isn't enough CO2 released to actually cause "global warming" (we actually have no real proof it is even happening). So really the answer is: there arent any.
There will be less oxygen to breathe and animals will start dying. The Earth will also heat up as a result of greenhouse gases as the CO2 is kind of like a shield that will prevent heat from escaping, but it allows heat through.
the arent
Theres tuvalu and here in the UK the birds arent imagrating because it hot enough here for them and the bears arent hibernating in south/north America
They arent so lets cut them all down
to prevent florist friars
Well, There are 17 Million People, So there arent many people that know it for sure. But Almost everyone i know, Arent.
when you are 100% sure you arent thts stupid most people arent and they dont think they are
