It's 4 times more contagious then the ordinary flu and spreads the same way.
The following information applies to the H1N1 Swine Flu, but it is not pertinent to the 2009 Swine Flu Pandemic, Influenza A H1N1/09 virus. See links section below for information on the 2009 H1N1 Influenza virus.1) It's called swine flu because that's where it got the genes that really matter to our health and it is a respiratory disease of pigs caused by A influenza virus that regularly causes outbreaks of influenza in pigs.2) Swine Flu viruses (there are mainly 4) do not normally infect humans.3) From December 2005 and February 2009, there were 12 cases of humans infected from the swine flu.4) In September 1988, a healthy 32 year old pregnant women was put into the hospital and died 8 days later. Doctors detected that she had Swine Flu.5) There are vaccines for most cases of Swine Flu but not all of them.
The Swine Flu has spred almost around the whole world. At this date 4/29/09 the swine flu has reached up to a level 5. Now it is time to worry. if the Swine Flu reaches up to a level 6 all stores and subway's will be closed. Everything will be shut down and people will be locked in their houses until people are 100% sure that the Swine Flu is gone. GOOD LUCK TO EVERYBODY. I HOPE THAT EVERYONE STAY'S HEALTHY AND SAFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes if your baby is between 6 months old they get 2 doses on different days it usually takes 4 weeks till you get the 2nd dose
The so-called "swine flu", more correctly called an H1N1 Flu, causes influenza in humans. The H1N1 flu seems to severely affect more people between the ages of 4 and 30, and fewer of the over-60 group, than does the seasonal flu. It also seems to come less often with a fever, and perhaps to last a bit longer. But basically it is influenza.
Well only because right now is cold and flu season and you have a fever is not thatcontagious. You only have the swine flu if you these symptoms.1. Cough2. Vomiting(Sometimes)3. Diarrhea(Sometimes)4. Sneezing or Runny nose (stuffy nose)5. Fever (not everyone with the flu won't have the fever)6. Muscle and body aches7. Headache8. Chills9. Fatigue10. Sore throatIf you have all these symptoms you are diagnosed with the swine flu. If you do have see a doctor immediately so the swine flu virus won't spread.
A person can be contagious with a virus like the flu for a day or two before they even notice their own symptoms. So if you are around them during that time frame and in close or direct contact with them, the potential exists for you to come down with the flu.
