Best Answer

Some ice boxes are designed to periodically defrost themselves so that they do not become solid masses of ice. Others just are not working properly or have not been set to the right temperature.

What would melt faster an red ice cube or an clear ice cube?

coloring doesnt matter. an ice is an ice cube. now, if that coloring is due to chemicals mixed into the water, then there'll be a difference in how fast it'll melt, but otherwise, they will melt at the same time.

Does a sphere shaped ice cube melt faster than a regular shaped ice cube?

A cylinder shaped ice cube will melt faster because it has a greater surface area than the rectangle-shaped ice cube has. Cubes of ice with less surface area will melt slower. Ice that has very low surface area has more ice concealed inside than it does on the outside. Therefore, ice cubes that have more surface area will melt faster... I hope this will help you.. :) ..

Theory behind hypothesis: (explain what any why you believe the salt do or interact to melt the ice like if it exert heat from solution) Hypothesis is just write the sentence describe what would you believe in the result and what might be the cause of what is going on. You then design experiment base on your hypothesis.
