∙ 15y agoDr. Charles Alderson invented Dr Pepper. The name pepper came from the fact that Charles used to get sunspots that looked like peppercorns during his high school summers. His middle name was Andrew. Hence the nickname Andrew Pepper. Due to his profession as a doctor, the nickname became Dr. Pepper. In turn, the name of the soda he invented.
