English is one of the official languages of India.

England was the colonial ruler in India until 1947 when India received its Independnce. Along with Hindi, which is the national language of India and is commonly spoken by everyone there, English is another that many speak. A lot of Indian students, studying overseas are fluent in English. There are International companies based in India.
English is a famous language and people who study in India tend to do university in England so they have to know english
