Lord Krishna is shown as blue in colour and wears yellow clothes. The blue colour is always associated with infinity (both the sky and ocean are blue), the yellow colour represents earth.

Krishna is not really blue but 'Ghana-shyam' (dark and dusky) like clouds laden with water. Many of our Gods are like that. Vishnu, Rama, and many a times, Shiva also is depicted as being dark.

THE BLUE COLOR OF KRISHNA

Krishna is the eighth incarnation of Vishnu.

Vishnu symbolizes the semi voluntary force, which produces sea wave like ups and down in our life. It is for this reason that he has the color of sea water viz. blue.

Some people are so silly. The sky nor the sea are blue so either the Indian/Hindu followers are naive or in denial. Vishnu and Krishna were Black/Egyptian dieties given to the people of India. Do your homework.

Wherever there is the union of purity and depth it produces blue colour. The water of the seas and the sky both are blue. Hence the colour blue is also called aasmani or sky colour. Lord Vishnu, Lord Krishna, Lord Ram are all blue coloured. Meghavarnam Shubhaangam or Kekee Kanthaabhneelam. Since God combines both purity and depth or boundlessness hence God too is blue.

The seven basic forces:

Human beings have seven basic forces.

They are,

Save

1. Dreaming force - Indra

2. Illusory force - Shakti

3. Voluntary force - Brahma

4. Semi voluntary force - Vishnu

5. Involuntary force - Shiva

6. Status altering force - Shani

7. Compulsive force - Yama

The Semi voluntary force and the blue color:

The Semi voluntary (Vishnu) force is the default force of Human beings. It makes life flexible. This flexibility is symbolized by water. Thus, Vishnu is called as Narayana or water dweller. Sea water is bluish. Thus, to symbolize flexibility Vishnu is blue in color.

Rama is symbolic of Negative attitude and Krishna of Positive attitude. Both of these are pure involuntary force and thus both make life very rigid. Thus, some flexibility is badly needed. Thus, both are blue in color.

Incarnations of Vishnu in which he is not blue in color:

It should be noted that many avatars of Vishnu in which flexibility is not important, he doesn't have blue color.

They are,

1. Narasimhavatara - This is about competitive blockade i.e. blocking of one thought with another, the equivalent of Ganesha.

2. Vamanavatara - This is about illusion, in which Vishnu varies his size enormously.

3. Parashuramavatara - This is about battle between a Brahmana and Kshatriyas or between Instinctive and Natural modes of life.
