∙ 9y agoBecause he had 6 rings he had the best stats and he started a multi-billion dollar shoe company called Jordans he makes so much money and has cool shoes to boot and he won a ton of rings and retired twice played Baseball i mean who can top that other than wilt Chamberlain who scored 100 points in a game so in truth jordan is second best but we don't like to talk about that.

Jordan was widely recognized as the leader of the Chicago Bulls, and his on-court statistics back that claim up: He led the league in scoring seven times from 1987 to 1993, then three more times from 1995 through 1998. His ability to share the ball and work with fellow players such as Scottie Pippen and Dennis Rodman earned the Bulls three consecutive world championships from 1991 until 1993 and three more from 1996 through 1998. During those championship runs, Jordan led both by example and by keeping his eyes on the shared glory of a title rather than personal statistics and fame. Nicknamed "Air Jordan" for his phenomenal jumping ability, he broke all kinds of records in basketball. As well as being as very dangerous attacker, Jordan is considered one of the best defensively as well. He scored 32,292 points, and recorded 6,672 rebounds and 5,633 assists. He is a six time NBA Champion, a five time NBA MVP, a 14 time All-Star team member and an 11 time All-NBA member. He has been named Rookie of the Year and was included in nine All-Defensive First teams. He holds many records, most notably the highest career points per game with 30.1 ppg. I am in no doubt that Michael Jordan is the greatest basketball player of all time!
