Shawn Michaels is called the Heartbreak Kid (HBK, because when he set out on his own from the Rockers, he was managed by "Miss Sherri." She gave him the nick-name, "Boy Toy." That was his first choice for his intro music. He then proceeded to grow with her support until he just outgrew Miss Sherri. Thus, the break-up didn't set well with Miss Sherri and she was heartbroken. So from that experience came the name, Heartbreak KID. As he grew to be very popularity the fans just began to love him. The performances he gave were second to none. He would literally stop the show at his match. Bringing the soldout audiences to their feet with approval for his talent. The Show Stopper, Shawn Michaels. ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HBK stands for "Heart Break Kid", Shawn Michaels' nickname.

Shawn Michaels has used three theme songs, two versions of his main theme "Sexy Boy" and "Break it Down", the theme used by D-Generation X

most likely. he just wanted a break

Shawn Michaels had to retire because he lost a match to the Undertaker at Wrestlemania 26. The stipulation was that if Shawn Michaels won, the Undertaker's 17-0 streak was over. If he lost, which he did, he would have to retire. Some people are probably thinking Shawn will come back, but he is not, and even said as much. He was inducted into the 2011 class of the WWE Hall of Fame.

2010. he is said to be on a break to spend time with his family. he will return.

As of wright now he is taking a break from the WWE until SummerSlam or later

Shawn Michaels and Triple H, or D-Generation X (often shortened to just 'DX') broke up in 2004 due to a feud between the two. They later reunited in 2006. However, they broke up again after Shawn Michaels retired in 2010.

Shawn did not break his back, he took a back body drop to the outside of the ring and smashed his lower back on the casket during a bout with The Undertaker, causing him to have a hernia in two of his discs and crush one completely.

The streak vs career match took place at last years Wrestlemania where Shawn Michaels tried to break the Undertaker's undefeated streak at Wrestlemania. If Shawn lost, he would have to retire. Shawn did end up losing, and he retired the following night on WWE Raw.

To me it seems Shawn michaels is better than undertaker....... Shawn is the best in creating an awesome match.........all his matches are like making our adrenalin overwhelming.......Shawn has got better story lines than undertaker, especially the bad days with hhh......where as from undertaker we most often don't get what we expect out of him....and his story lines sometimes went like horror movies........Shawn creates a very charming environment in wwe....................... Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker demolished each other at the 25th Anniversery of Wrestlemania, becoming Undertaker's hardest match in history. But in the desperate end, The Undertaker retained his 17-0 streak. Unlike many of the other opponents Undertaker has faced, people would actually believe Shawn Michaels might've broken it. Almost a year after this, Shawn Michaels has been obsessed with a rematch to break Undertaker's streak. Undertaker comes out personally, and denies it. Shawn Michael's plan to beat the Royal Rumble 2010 failed, causing an outburst on Shawn, even beating down Teddy Long and two referies. He also fails to retain his Unified Tag Team Belts with DX parter HHH, and a match to qualify for Elimination Chamber. Because of these saddening events for him, he quits D-Generation X, and interrupted Undertaker's match in Elimination Chamber, causing Undertaker to loose his World-HeavyWeight Champion. The next day, Undertaker finally accepts the match, but at the hardening flaw: If Shawn Michaels looses in breaking Undertaker's streak, he must never wrestle again. Shawn accepts the deal, and even claims: "if I can't break his streak, than why bother continue my career."
