Valencia's people are very friendly to tourists. The railway station staff are so really helpful. Many Valencians speak English, which is useful, if that is your language. Valencia's streets are among the cleanest seen anywhere in the world and some of the footpaths are made of marble and polished regularly. The climate is very mild. (Stopover & visit Valencia by taking the slow train (not the express) from Barcelona & then on to Granada via the High Sierras (and Alhambra) and then continue the slow train through the scenic gorges to La Lineas (Gibraltar.) The train fare is very reasonable.
